Up at 6 for coffee with Stuart, Gary Frey , Wes, and Bob. In the quiet of the morning it's great to contemplate what God has in store for us today.
Study in Titus
To start the morning Renee gave Peggy the "hardest job of all" award. yesterday she said that the girls who were doing the insalation installation had the hardest job. But that was before Peggy unstopped at least three toilets!!!
Sleepy time Alyssa. She loves the morning.
Gary led us at 7 in our second installment of out Titus study. He focused on verses 11-14
11For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
We are to say no to ungodliness and live self-controlled, godly lives. Exactly what we are to be doing here in Texas
"Belief leads to relief" was his catch phrase for yesterday
"Understanding leads to undertaking" was his phrase for today. We also got verses 11-14 on cards to memorize while we are working. When Gary brings the Word it is always a blessing.
Disclaimer
It is now 9:41 p.m. and we have had a very full day. Sorry I am so late with getting out the news. It will hopefully be worth the wait. :)
Breakfast
This morning we had some kind of a breakfast pizza thing with dough and eggs and meat, pancakes, bacon and sausage and scrambled eggs and yogurt.
Shower situation
Every day all 36 plus the 14 from Arcade have to get through these two showers. One for the boys. One for the girls.

Off to Work. Off to Serve
We got off to work a little earlier this morning. Who was working where changed a little bit. A huge crew mostly girls went to the "Sandpaper" House to work on fixing the bad texturing and sheet rocking job there. That group was load by Peggy. Gary Frey and Matt Bragonier worked at the "Crack" House doing a bunch of plumbing and other jobs. Gary reported at the debriefing session what a great job Matthew had done and just how helpful he was.
Bill Hudson, Wes Barker, Bob Easter worked on the electrical at the "Gator" House. And Casey Noland, KC Peterson and Joel Frey worked on the floor over the swamp. Zoe was there too along with Ben Gladstone, Jeremy Petersen and a several of the kids from Arcade.
At the "Sheetrock" House we had three teams doing sheet rock. I was working with Chuck Arnold, Erin, Gary, and Mike Ross. We got started at about 9 and it took I kid you not almost an hour for us to get our first piece up. Even Gary measured it wrong.

After lunch Gary and I took a break and went over to see what they were up to at the Gator House.

Shooting!
Somehow Stuart arranged with Lisa to let any of us who were over 20 go shooting out at David Wagner's nearby ranch. We has to rush out before it got dark. When we got there he showed us his arsenal. And we could shoot any of them we wanted to. We just had to assure him that none of us had voted for Obama. He also said how hard it is to get ammo since the administration change.
